KM
Miss Mottram
Our 22 young KM students have settled into school life and are having fun learning and making friends.
KM students are provided with a play-based learning environment, where choice and independence are promoted through social play strategies as well as art and craft experiences.
We have had fun learning through play with each other using our beautiful resources.
During Term 1 we learned about 'Starting School', followed by 'Creepy Crawlies' where we learned about bugs, beetles, spiders and butterflies.
Throughout the year we will have such themes as 'Bears', 'Growing Things', 'Rainbows', 'Space', 'Farm Animals' and finishing the year off with the 'Christmas' theme.
Our classroom comes alive with all of our beautiful art work.
We have a number of open days where our families can come and see us perform and see our classroom. We made some beautiful hats for the Easter Hat Parade, we will be singing some songs for Grandparents Day and just wait for Christmas time!
Throughout the year KM students will be learning pre-reading and pre-writing skills as well as early mathematics.
We are participating in the 'You Can Do It' program which promotes Organisation, Getting Along, Confidence, Persistence and Emotional Resilience, all skills that we need now and forever!
